NIEUW: Dubbele wapenstuiver 1768 over 1764
Voorzijde van het 2 stuiverstuk 1768.Van deze datum is ook een aantal munten gemaakt met een gewijzigd jaartal. Onder het cijfer '8' is een streepje zichtbaar.
Het streepje onder de '8' staat een beetje schuin. Niet heel schuin zoals de schuine zijde van de '7'. Met moeite kan ik hieruit een '7' destileren. Volgens de boeken: 1768 over 1767.Afbeelding hieronder.
Het streepje onder de '8'staat loodrecht en dat betekent voor mij dat dit een overblijfsel moet zijn van een '4'. Dit wordt nergens genoemd: 1768 over 1764! Zou de munt hierboven ook 'over 1764' zijn?

Nederlandse Antillen: roze of gele kleur ! gulden 2014
De 1 gulden munten met het jaartal 2014 die op Curacao of Sint Maarten in circulatie zijn gebracht hebben een roze kleur. De vraag is of dat met alle guldens zo is.
In ieder geval is de gulden in de BU-set geel van kleur.

CURACAO & SINT MAARTEN 2014 thans in omloop
Deze zomer zijn de nieuwe munten met het jaartal 2014 in omloop. De cent ontbreekt en het muntje van 50 cent en die van 2 ½ gulden zullen alleen in de muntset verschijnen. Het valt op dat de gulden een roze gloed heeft. Zouden alle guldens zo zijn?

Circulatiemunten 5-, en 10 cent SURINAME 2014
Als numismaat moet ik op de hoogte zijn van de ontwikkelingen in Nederland en de (voormalige) overzeese gebieden. Hierin speelt Suriname een rol die voor mij niet altijd helder is. Zo is het een verrassing om er achter te komen dat daar thans twee (misschien meer?) munten circuleren met het jaartal 2014 !! Van de heer De Vries heb ik de afbeeldingen gekregen die hierna zijn weergegeven. Deze beide muntjes zullen ook weer bij The Royal British Mint zijn gemaakt en we moeten nog even geduld hebben met de set 2014 die door de Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt zal worden vervaardigd. Wat de lay-out van de datum betreft zijn er, zoals ik al eerder opmerkte, verschillen waar te nemen. In het jaartal 2004 zijn bij de munten van de KNM alle cijfers gelijk en ik denk dat dit ook voor 2014 zal gelden. De BRM maakt het cijfer '4' groter. Scroll naar beneden en ontdek het zelf.

European Central Mint: overzicht beleggingsmunten SURINAME
Om van ECM informatie te verkrijgen was een moeizaam proces. Veel werd er toegezegd door de directeur maar sporadisch heb ik informatie, afbeeldingen of aantallen mogen ontvangen. Mijn vergaarde kennis heb ik in de Muntkoerier van september 2014 gepubliceerd en de drukproef kunt u hieronder vinden. Het einde van ECM kwam voor mij heel onverwachts hoewel ik me steeds afvroeg hoe dit bedrijf in stand kon worden gehouden met de producie van Surinaamse beleggingsmunten. Als u informatie heeft wil u mij dan berichten?

NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN: 5 gulden circulatiemunt 2013 SLAVERNIJ 150 geleden afgeschaft
Vorig jaar is ter gelegenheid van het feit dat 150 jaar geleden de slavernij is afgeschaft een 0,925 zilveren munt verschenen in een oplage van slechts 750 stuks, met de afmeting van 29 mm. Het was bij de KNM niet bekend :-) dat er ook een circulatie exemplaar is gemaakt van ABS met een doorsnede van 26 mm. Het zou toch goed zijn geweest om deze beide exemplaren in een setje aan te bieden.
Binnenkort zal deze op Curacao en Sint Maarten in omloop worden gesteld.
Ik ben verheugd dat ik als een van de weinigen een afbeelding van de Bank in Willemstad mocht ontvangen. Graag wil ik dit met u delen. Een historische munt van de mooie donkere kant van Nederland! Dat de lichte kant het ooit zover heeft laten komen in die duistere periode.
Oplage 25.000 stuks en september 2015 nog niet vrijgegeven voor circulatie.

NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN - GULDEN 2014 met KONING WILLEM ALEXANDER
Met spanning heb ik uitgekeken naar de beeldenaar van de Koning op de munten van de Nederlandse Antillen (Curaçao en Sint Maarten) en Aruba. Hoewel de gulden en het 5 gulden muntstuk op Curaçao inmiddels worden uitgegeven blijft het oorverdovend stil bij de Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt in Utrecht! Deze Nederlandse krampachtigheid is gelukkig niet overal aanwezig, ofschoon de Bank van Aruba ook geen mededeling doet over de nieuwe numismatische ontwikkeling. Een pluim voor de klantgerichte instelling in Willemstad. Onderstaande afbeelding van de gulden 2014 mocht ik ontvangen.

2 euro Koningsdubbelportret 2014
Na de 2 euro Dubbelportret 2013 en de introductie van de nieuwe Nederlandse euromunten begin 2014 verschijnt in mei de 2 euro Koningsdubbelportret. Hiermee wordt afscheid genomen van de muntontwerpen met het vertrouwde portret van onze voormalige vorstin Beatrix. Samen met het Dubbelportret en de nieuwe euromunten completeert het Koningsdubbelportret een bijzondere munttrilogie rondom de troonswisseling.

Lithuanian euro coins
The Bank of Lithuania have released preliminary information about the preparations which will be put into place by the Bank prior to the anticipated adoption of the EURO single currency, planned for the 1st January 2015.
The Board of the Bank of Lithuania decided that the national side of the future Lithuanian euro circulation coins and cents would bear the targeted year for the adoption of the euro in Lithuania anticipated to be 2015. The first technological specimen euros with the Lithuanian national side of the “2015” issue are due to be minted by this spring. The Board of the National Bank have confirmed and commented that the Lithuanian Mint is preparing for this work intensively.
Just prior to the adoption of the single currency, the Bank of Lithuania are planning to distribute over 900,000 Lithuanian euro coin starter kits with a nominal value of €11.59 with an equal value of 40 Litas. The starter kits will consist of 23 coins in total and include the following: 3 X €2 – 3 X €1 – 3 X .50 – 3 X .20 – 3 X .10 – 2 X .05 - 3 X .02 – 3 X .01. These kits are usually packaged & distributed so the public can familiarize themselves with the new coinage. Two larger kits which are aimed at commercial use will also be available no later than one month before the formal adoption of the Euro. Sixty thousand smaller commercial sets will be available which will consist of 320 euro coins valued at €111 or 383.26 Litas. The larger set will consist of 600 coins with a total nominal value of €200 or 690.56 Litas. There will be fifty thousand of these sets produced.
The Lithuanian circulation euro coins, whose design was finalized as far back as 2007 will all bear the national symbol which is the coat-of-arms of the State of Lithuania, the Vytis. The coins were designed by sculptor Antanas Žukauskas and depict the Vytis surrounded by 12 stars along with subtle differences on the surface rim denoting denominational differences. On the 1 and 2 euro coins, the twelve stars are against a background of vertical lines and with the 10, 20 and 50 euro cent coins, the stars are against a background of horizontal lines. The 1, 2 and 5 euro cent coins show the stars against a plain background. All eight circulation euro coin denominations featuring Vytis are due to be wholly produced at the Lithuanian Mint located in Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital.
The detailed plans for the adoption of the single currency call for Euro coin starter kits for residents to be sold from the 1st December at the cash offices of the Bank of Lithuania, in commercial banks and in Lithuanian Post office branches.

Het valt me op dat het gedeelde jaartal niet in één cijferformaat is uitgevoerd.Zie detail hieronder.Het getal 20 is duidelijk kleiner dan de 12. Het moederstempel zal waarschijnlijk met het linker getal "20" zijn uitgevoerd. Het rechter getal moet het actuele jaar weergeven in het werkstempel; doorgaans met hetzelfde formaat cijfers! Mijn vraag is nu direct: Wie heeft er een muntje van één cent met GELIJKE cijfergrote?
